Content ideas for January

We're nearing the end of January and at this point the initial go-getting energy that launches us into the New Year can start to wane. So to help you keep your social channels and newsletters shining bright during some of the darkest days of the year, here is a list of content ideas.

We designed these with individual creatives and creative businesses in mind, but they can also be used by other organisations if you find them relevant to your work.

Here are January's:

January reset tips: Share a routine or ritual you use in to reset after the holiday e.g. journaling, decluttering, buying new materials, going for walks.

Intentions for 2026: Post your goals for the year and invite followers/subscribers to add theirs.

Vision board: A gallery of images that are inspiring you this year.

Winter-themed work: Share an artwork, piece of music, poem or written passage inspired by snow, frost or cosy January vibes.

January Challenge: Launch a ‘Month of Sketches/ mindful habits/ book recommendations/inspirations...’ series.

Blank canvas: Create or share something that symbolises a  fresh start. It could be an empty sketchbook, a new notepad or clean workspace.

Creative hibernation: Talk about slowing down, refocusing or planning ideas quietly in winter. Show how rest fuels creativity.
